WTF Aff Programs - Friday Specials Gone Crazy?
 

Now Ive got three programs wanting to pay me extra for sales on Fridays - why cant you guys put your heads together and spread it out so you all get more sales!!!!
I understand competition but for those of us that really can send more sales - we have to split it between three big programs now because you all choose Fridays to run this on - how bout one takes Monday, one on Wed and one on Friday :) :thumbsup

Because all the programs themselves are taking advantage of the higher payouts and need as much exits those days too.

Umm, I would lean towards the idea that Friday, saturdays and Sundays, sales tend to drop (people are out of the house and not surfing), therefore decreasing the number of high payouts (50$..150$... thats a loss for the sponsor most of the time, so its not a smart move for them to offer that much too often).

BUT, by offering these little incentives, they get more affiliates who, most likely, will keep selling their sites during the days were sales are more common (tuesday, wednesday and thursday --- payday!) and thats where they get their money back.

So basically, Big payday Fridays is a means to attract affiliates at a loss while hoping that they will bring in the lost cash and more on more productive days.

So, THATS why (imo) they don't promote those kind of days during the week, cause they would go bankrupt pretty fast

Btw... I'm not a professionnal about sponsors or their inner workings... I've only been webmastering for over a month, but, to me, thats what would make the most sense

My sales are so hit and miss I can't never get anything special going on Fridays. How about a monday or tuesday special? :)

They want you to load up on friday hoping to keep your traffic over the weekend and into the next week when you forget to switch banners and links out for a while. It is a pretty good business move.

Alex - understand that part - just doesnt make sense to have three of the leading sponsors do it on the same day :) Course - things are getting a little blurry here tonight anyway - its late and the Glenfiddich is kicking in
