do you use some kind of application or script to bulk check domains availability?

I am so computer-illiterate that I wouldn't know what a script was, so I just sit down and start typing "possibles" into my Go-Daddy account. I get a lot of "That Domain is Already Registered", but every so often up pops a "such-and-such" is available" response---it's like pulling the one-armed bandits in vegas and hearing the clinking of silver dollars dropping:-))

The reason you might be getting offers is cause some services list domains recently registered, either that or someone is trying to scam you.

its possible!, not too long ago some registars were passing out free .info domain names!
