They have to be placed on paid leave until the investigation is over to avoid a potential lawsuit.

I think that before you go and blame the cops, you should walk a mile in thier shoes. there are way toooo many factors that you DONT know to judge.

Just based on the fact that they are on leave, means that they are going to investigate, and that the cops could be at fault.
