Pornwolf 06-12-2006 06:41 PM

Cool, I'm going to bid now!

SteveLightspeed 06-12-2006 06:43 PM

Thanks for the heads up --- let's see how long his auction days last...

tranza 06-12-2006 06:43 PM

I'm pretty sure you could even call the FBI.

DBS.US 06-12-2006 06:52 PM

Has any site owners ever called the FBI and ask what they do about stuff like this?

JMM 06-12-2006 06:53 PM

I've cancelled the auction, it will be gone in the morning.

If he relists, I'll cancel his ebay account.

L0rdJuni0r 06-12-2006 06:58 PM

its for "buy it now"? i think you would have got more as a bid.

Mr.Right - Banned For Life 06-12-2006 06:59 PM

It really sucks when this happens, they should be sent to prison for what they do, really teach tme a lesson and defer oters from it.

There are laws/penalties for knowingly using and profiting from copyrighted products. Maybe Steve should let a sale go thru and make an example of someone ... :2 cents:

When the people are in the U.S., we do make a purchase, then we offer them a small settlement option to avoid legal action.

This guy is in the U.K., more trouble than its worth.

Thanks for answering ......

we sell on ebay all the time, everynow and then some scumbag sells our stuff, We start by e-mailing them with the laws and 99% of the time they take the auction down without a problem, the other 1% you have to report it to ebay and that normally works if you catch the auction with 4 or more days left since it takes them that long to end it. I have seen it happen more on ebanned and have had them take down stolen auctions all the time.

No, I don't work for ebay.

One of the many things my company does is act as designated agent for intellectual property for 26 producers of adult content.

I actually helped ebay with their verified rights ownership program (VERO) about 8 years ago. We work with ebay almost daily.

It doesnt take that long. Normally, we can get auctions cancelled within about 2 hours, unless it is the middle of the night.

I don't believe in emailing people and simply asking them to stop. I believe in making them pay. We have some people making payments of $25 per month for 5 to 6 years.
