You live in England so dont have much choice. England has a shoot to kill policy regarding anyone that doesnt cheer on England.

Personally I think USA will require devine intervention to beat the Czech Republic. God will have to make the second coming happen during the game and Jesus appear and get a hat trick for the USA to win.

USA have good defense though. If the USA can get one goal in they could do it, but like I say Jesus may not be able to pop down and help them out.

good game so far, czechs with most chances. Yanks hit the post. After South Korea the USA was my favourite team of the last world cup. Im hoping they give them a good match though the americans could win the entire thing and not raise the profile of the game one inch back home haha

Trouble is the USA are such a tiny nation when it comes to football. They have a few half decent players who would do OK in the English second division (Championship) , but not a lot more.

For the rest of the world at this time the World Cup is on the front and back of every newspaper, with wall to wall television coverage. Who much coverage has the USA football team been given by the press in the States? Not a lot would be my guess. It's the biggest sporting event in the world but the USA is so insular when it comes to sport, with obscure almost indecypherable games such as Baseball and American football that no other country plays or wants to. A shame as they miss out big time with events such as this.
