Vicodin - Hydrocodone Doses
 

Quick question. In some pretty horrible back pain and can't sleep at all. I was given Hydrocodone and wondering how much is too much to take. I've taken two pills (believe they are 5mg). Feeling a little something but not well enough to sleep. Is it safe to take more? The doctor didn't really mention much about how much is too much. I just don't want to die. :winkwink:

everyone is different dude, if you don't feel enough after an hour take another....you will know you took too much if you puke...LOL

seriously, they usually take about 30-60 minutes to real full effect, so wait it out and if it isn't working enough, take another

I usually take the 10mg/325mg and i can take one of those every 2 hours or so

Cool, I took the 10mg about an hour ago and I feel alright. I'm pretty new to the stuff. I probably should take another but am just a pussy with this kind of stuff.

yeah, if you don't take a lot there is a chance you will take just a pinch too much and end up throwing up for an hour....and once you get that sickly hydro vomits, they don't go away til the pill wears off, it sucks...LOL

I'm in the same situation as you right now.. I can't sleep, and I'm in horrible pain.
Another 2 vicodins shouldn't hurt you, the worst that can happen is you will puke. I just took 3 10mg ones, still can't sleep :disgust

jeez, I don't see how you all can sleep on hydrocodone....I fucking take them and I am bouncing off the walls...they make me so freakin hyper

I haven't slept in nearly 24 hours now because of the back. I think I could drink a ton of caffeine and still fall asleep in a cinch. I'm just trying to get this back pain to go away for a few hours. It's crazy, I've never had a back problem my whole life and boom out of the blue.

That sucks, but I feel ya.. I've been up for 24+ hours because of the pain also. Try taking 2 more and watch tv until you pass out, I did that and was able to fall asleep for 2 hours(better than nothing). If this is your first time taking vicodin, I wouldn't take more than 3... you might puke.
