I hate London when its like this.

Its a 30 degree day here and its rank.

I know that dosnt sound a lot to some you guys - but London heat is somehow different - its moist and it smells and it gives you headaches, sore throats and I feel like I need an O2 mask.

I would rather do 40 in Australia than 30 here. :Oh crap

gooddomains 06-11-2006 11:44 PM

Mr. Romance 06-11-2006 11:44 PM

I wouldnt what anyone to be put off by it - the one good thing is that you know it will be over in a few days. And it will be one fuck off big thunderstorm that ends it - I look forward to those.

fallenmuffin 06-11-2006 11:50 PM

London is great! When I was there last summer it was really hot for like a month then went to normal.

PussyTeenies 06-11-2006 11:51 PM

Sounds kind of similar to our monsoons out here in AZ. I still need to get over to London sometime because being half English and half Italian, England and Italy are 2 places I really want to see.

Antonio 06-12-2006 01:27 AM

man, it it only like that 365 days of the year, I'd move there in a heartbeat, I can handle up to 35 degress with no problem, cold and I just don't get along very well

Relish XXX 06-12-2006 01:29 AM

I have been sat in my pants all weekend, I am not wearing anything in this weather. I am sticky due to the humidity.

Sarah_Jayne 06-12-2006 02:39 AM

It is the whole lack of air conditioning thing. I have been looking at those small units but i'm not sure how well they actually work.

I have one in each of my office rooms, they keep the place nice and cool... But I am in the Lake District where the air is quite clean... Not sure how much they will help you guys in London...

Mine were about £250 each from B&Q last summer.

Where are you that you can't get rizlas? They have clothes dryers here..i have one. You just have to get a 'tumble dryer' not the built in washer dryer things that just make your clothing hot and wet.

kiana 06-12-2006 04:08 AM

we thinking of getting A/c too, its just too damn hot, especially at night. We have loft insulation too which makes it hotter, damn stupid British weather.

Sarah_Jayne 06-12-2006 04:30 AM

yeah, my place is made out of concrete so it really takes in - and keeps in - the heat. I worry about the electricity cost of running an AC here but I have so many fans running at the moment I bet it wouldn't be much different.

hentaibee 06-12-2006 06:02 AM

Florida. I've been searching all over for Rizla. I lived in Carshalton, Surrey for a year just got back 5 months ago. And I only met 1 person with a dryer.
