I lost another pet
 

My friend who has been staying with me since the storm woke me this morning to let me know my cat was on the side of the road. She finally fell victim of her bad habit of thinking the road was a lounge area. We live at the end of a dead end so the silly cat actually made it to 17.

That leaves me down to one little buddy, the daughter of the dog I lost suddenly last month:(

im sorry buddy.. im getting ready to lose my little girl (black lab) of 12 years

I just buried most of a litter of kittens and almost lost the mother. :( They had some form of pneumonia.

Sorry about your loss... cat had a long life though! One of my chiuahaha's leg got chomped by another dog, had to get the leg amputated but she's still kicking with the other three >_<

LOL, I've never bought a pet in my life... they always seem to find me, and somehow they always seem to know when there is a vacancy:upsidedow

This cat was a pet gotten for a 3 year old girl next door back in 1989. A few months later they got another cat (siamese) and that became their pet of choice. They moved off and left the first one and she quickly zoomed in on me.

I have the 4 year old daughter of the daschund I lost last month (who was himself a "castaway"). She is half jack russell and looks just like a minature pincher (people are always assuming she is a min-pin puppy and ask me if I'm going to get her ears and tail clipped:1orglaugh). Since her daddy died my friend and I have totally pampered and spoiled her. She prefers people company to other pets and would be jealous/dominating of a new one brought in so for now at least I'm going to let her enjoy being the "only child".

Thanks guys for all the kind words. It's going to be tough for awhile walking out the door without kitty running up demanding her food.:(

I buried her this morning and a few minutes later the first group of outside help showed up and pulled the last of my wood floors up and some other things they could help with. Wednesday my roofer gets to do battle with Allstate. I have a friend who has been helping with things so far, he was close to kitty too (and even closer to my boy dog we lost last month), but grieve as we must we are going to concentrate on springboarding on house repairs.

The last 10 months have sucked royally:(
