When did you start thinking of kids????
 

I think i'm getting older. I notice I'm beginning to think more and more of wanting my own kids. And the simple things in life satisfy me now.

i went through that stage. sort of thought about it for a couple of years. no thanks. but kudos to those who do. just not my thing.

I think if i'm old enough and have kids then I won't regret it because I love kids. Don't women peak in fertility around 25-30 and they start to go downhill after 30? And unless I marry a young wife when I'm older then I think I should start looking.

nope, i'd just tell her to get off the pill and have some if i ever felt that way lol.

my exgirlfriend was on the pill for the 4 years we were together...she told me it's dangerous to get on the pill if a woman wants to have kids someday...wierd, i was just cleaning out old things from my closet yesterday and threw away a ton of empty birth control pills she left when we broke up...

I'd say late mid 20's - mid 30s is the best age to get kids

you are also probably a better father when your child is born when you're 29 rather than 50....

guys have kids when they are 70 lol. anyway, i don't want any. i am dating a principal of a elementary school - that's been more than enough to help me make my decision. no thanks.

haha..that was my attitude when i was 25. I think when you hit 27-30 your attitude changes..at least it seems like its starting to for me.

I want kids eventually. I wouldn't want my family lineage to end with me. I think one of the most rewarding parts of life will involve sharing what I have with kids of my own. That includes material things but also wisdom that I think I've gained, the same way my parents did for me. I don't want to be too old when I have them either... it would be a shame to be on my death bed and not see them graduate or get married.

I agree... I know my life would be completely different if my dad had been an old man when he had me.

Im 28 and don't EVER want them. I don't want to dedicate my life to raising something else or devote my life to someone else to that extent. Even though I can afford it, I have to honestly say I would rather spend the money on myself.

I also want to be free and at no one's beck and call, if I want to travel somewhere I want to be able to do so at a minute's notice without having to explaing anything to anybody.

The main reason is that I want to live my life for myself and no one else. Also I would never want to give birth, even with an epidural or c-section, it is not ever going to happen.

I also am one of those people who NEVER "oooooh and aaaah" over kids like "omg, they are soooo cuuuute." I never thought kids were cute. I just have no interest in them. I just don't want anything to do with them.

It actually annoys the hell out of me when people oooh and aaaah like that.

Everybody is differant..I don't want any and I'm in my 40's

I think there is a time for play and a time for work. Our generation has much more financial burdens and extended educational requirements compared to previous generations so it's understandable that we extend the time that we play.

Although I've never cared for young children (they're loud, annoying, require constant attention), it's a sacrifice I'll one day gladly take (right now it would be too troublesome, I still have oats to sow, things to do) in order to see that child grow into a mature independent strong intellegent adult, and to carry on the family legacy.

I don't think my want for life-long carefree enjoyment should supercede opportunity for my children's enjoyment, their children's enjoyment, and all the future generations of my family's enjoyment. Or for that matter, I don't think that I'm so important as to end my family name after so many thousands of years of ancestors that lived and died and had offspring so that I could exist and enjoy life. Wherever the world and the universe is headed, I'd like my family to be part of it. Maybe they can do something positive in whatever is to come.

that's really young...i couldn't imagine having a kid at 21....i was still a kid myself..but i guess when you have kids your forced to grow up really quick..maybe that is why i'm still a little immature.

It's easy for a man to want kids. All you have to do is deposit your sperm in a hole.

I would like some men actually wanting kids if they actually had to push out 10lbs of baby from a whole in their dick through eight hours of labor.

And taking care of the kids, yea you know who ends up having to do most of the raising, feeding, and changing the diapers. Most men don't put in their fair shair of raising the kids.

They want one for their ego so they can "continue their bloodline" and see a miniature version of themselves.

And don't give me this shit about the men providing financially, I outearn my boyfriend BY FAR and I mean BY FAR, around 10x more. I make good money and don't need financial support from ANYONE.

I do well enough for myself that I can do whatever I want and go wherever I want whenever I want. I'm not going to give that up to stay home and change some diapers.

Kids?... No thanks, unless they are on tethers in public they should be left at home.

It's always part of my long term goal.. maybe 5 years years from now..

When I get out of this biz, I might think about it....

I am just about to take a break from a 6 year relationship so I am going to have to start all over again....

But kids are in my future. a boy, a girl, and adopted one (hopefully it will work that way).
