I use one of the local Credit Unions. They would lick my ass if I asked them.

how are they when it comes to lending?

faxxaff 06-11-2006 11:12 AM

BoA really sucks. It's a bank run by computers and not humans. I would recommend Wachovia
http://www.wachovia.com/

I've been a member for years, and do all my banking with them now. So I haven't had any issues.

Mine is Kodak's FCU, so they've got some money to play with :winkwink:

madawgz 06-11-2006 01:47 PM

ive heard some fucked up shit about wachovia.....

minusonebit 06-11-2006 02:22 PM

There is no such thing as a good bank. They all suck. Credit unions too. B of A and National City suck the worst of any. If you are looking for a bank with alot of locations, Wells Fargo, Bank of the West or 5/3rd.

rants 07-20-2006 09:27 AM

Bank of America freezes my account all the fucken time because of what they think are "unusually high amounts of on-line transactions" that could be suspicious and then I have to call in to get it cleared.

If I buy concert tickets online - I get frozen
If I have a lot of transactions for submitpasses - frozen
Buy groceries and then get gas- frozen

Account has been frozen 5 fucken times withing 6 months already. They are on fucken drugs. They told me that "all major banks" use this fucken computer system now where they monitor all accounts and automatically flag accounts.

I am sick of this shit. I cant take this shit. And fuck Sonia from BOA, she's a useless rude twat who gave me an attitude on the phone.

I am so sick of these asshats.

WebairGerard 07-20-2006 09:30 AM

you should check Washington Mutual the usually offer great deals for business accounts. worth looking into at least.

Degenerate 07-20-2006 09:31 AM

NOT BofA. They have outrageous fees.

rants 07-20-2006 09:33 AM

I just want a bank that doesnt keep freezing my account everytime I have a lot of on-line transactions. It is humiliating to have my debit card declined and then having to call the bank to get it cleared up.

I think its the combo of a higher than usual balance and A LOT of on-line transactions that keep getting my card flagged and it keeps getting frozen all the time. I am so sick of this shit.

BOA has a lot of atm's though, if I use a smaller bank they might not have atm's everywhere.

i have been using Commerce for 14 months and they r great. great hours of operation and u talk to people when u call....not computers. so many freebies too and they have great stuff inside their banks...check them out and see if u like.....(the girls that work at mine r soooo HOT and i have even gone out drinking with them for happy hour)

BlueWire 07-20-2006 09:34 AM

Bank of America is BY FAR the absolute worst. Anyone who tells you differently hasn't tried enough banks:winkwink:

We use US BANK and are very happy with them. The best banks are the small ones that have no branches or very few. But they come by your office to pick up deposits, give you great money market rates, etc.

Speaking of which, CitiBank is offering 5% no min balace money markets now:thumbsup

shahab6 07-20-2006 09:34 AM

Citibank is pretty good, its one of the biggest one out in the US

ztik 07-20-2006 09:36 AM

Get a Wells Fargo Commercial account (not sure if they have minimums to get one). You get your own personal banker who you can call anytime, cell or office, private inhouse banking, they always give you free crap, don't take any fee's, secureID's for added security, lots of other good shit.
They call me just to ask how am I doing and ask if I need any thing, and to see how things are going. Gotta love them

i wonder if this shit has something to do with the patriot act??

http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:9...s&ct=clnk&cd=1

"Aquilan offers a product it calls Aquilan Patriot Manager. They advertise that APM can help financial institutions "Know Your Customers. 'Red Flag' Suspicious Activity. Prevent Money Laundering."

Is it true that if you depost over 10k in checks that the bank has to file a SARS or something like that to the government to prevent money laundering????

ETCKon 07-20-2006 11:23 AM

check out Citibank for the best business percentage ratio......HSBC is better for personal banking......Chase is good for personal business banking.....Bank of America is not good fro nothing...(from personal experiences)....Commerce bank, i don't know anything about.......I've used Fleet (Bank Of America) and Citibank but i feel like Citibank is the best out of all of them...for business wise...it offers the best options for business purposes.....

i use Bank of America never had a problem, as for funds clearing it takes 1 business day depending on the size of the check and what you average daily balance is. Say you deposit a $15,000 check and on average you have about 50-60k in your account per day, the check will clear the next day. But, if you have only $100 in your account on avg per day they're going to wait till the funds are secured before releasing. Also there's different business account levels if you maintain a high balance.

Yes, my checks always clear the next day. That is not the problem. They keep freezing my fucken card. I have a lot of on-line transactions, like buying traffic, hosting, i buy a lot of stuff on-line. Apparently it somehow flags their computer as "suspicious behaviour" because my accounts gets frozen ALL the time. When this happens I have to call in customer service and verify my identity. It happens ALL the time. They claim they can't take my account off this flagging thing cause they claim ALL accounts get flagged, including that of the president of the bank (which I think is bullshit).

Imagine calling in their shitty customer service and then they ask you stuff, like on this date is this transaction yours? And I buy traffic and some have whack names like "Dreamblub" and Bangbros, it sounds like its porn related, and that also could be because my account keeps getting flagged.

I am so sick of it. I have been researching online and apparently most banks do this anyways, so there's no point in changing banks. They claim they also flag business accounts so whatever.

I like wells fargo

abadfish 07-20-2006 12:30 PM

I have been with BofA for over 6 years and I can't handle any more of their BS. I am checking out a few local credit unions and some larger national banks. The local CU's seem to be a lot better regarding fees, service and all of that. Most of their fees are half of what BofA charges or none at all. Not only that but they are willing to give me the time of day where BofA will not when I need loans etc.
