Did you ever think of a URL (that was available) that was so good you could see the gold rush?

Somone close to me just thought of a URL so delicious and with such mass-market AND web-site potential that it might just be a case of manic-depression, lol.

A good url is cool, but its not what makes the money. The worst urls ever have made millions due to good content, marketing etc. Lots of great urls have done diddly. :2 cents:

Yeah, once. But after about 30 minutes of excitment I realised I had misspelled the domain name. And the real one was already taken. SPELL CHECK BEFORE YOU BUY kiddies

when I first thought at microsoft I didn't foresee so much money from it.

One of the best I ever grabbed was FishyPussy.com... I have never really put it to good use yet tho.. It just makes me smile :thumbsup

I have thought of a few such domains, and they're just redirected to my moneymaking sites and make me solid money each month with no work involved. I love when that happens.

We reg'd a domain years ago - and then got contacted by the lawyers for a big west coast production company attorneys claiming trademark infringement because of the use of a common word in the domain. Claimed we were "riding the coattails of their success", despite the fact the website was entirely bondage/fetish content and had absolutely nothing to do with their production or corporate image.

We laughed all the way to our lawyer's office in Toronto. We offered the domain up for sale - and our attorney sold it for 10x its annual revenue earnings.

Can't reveal the name of the company or the domain due to a non-disclosure agreement we signed during the sale.

Sweetest chunk of change we ever made.
