Question about Crystal Light...

I used to drink LOTS of soda and even diet soda isnt good for you. So I switched to Crystal Light. There seems to be NOTHING in this stuff but it tastes strong! Does Crystal Light have the same health effects as water? I cant see anything bad in this stuff.

Anyone???

sweetgirl2006 06-10-2006 12:54 AM

I think the artificial sweetener contains ingredients that cause tumors.

aspertame.....

we're better off driking soda loaded with real sugar..

HairToStay 06-10-2006 04:36 AM

Been drinking it since it came out in the late 70's and have no tumors, cancers, or other side effects whatsoever.

While some claim Aspertame is dangerous, I haven't seen enough proof so I keep using it, though most of the products I use have Splenda.

Ever read the ingredients in the flavorings for Dunkin Donuts coffee? Contains the ingredient that is in anti freeze.

It's funny how this thread turned into "health dangers" about it when what she really asked is if it's still as healthy as drinking a plain glass of water.

I love GFY :1orglaugh

Well this is what it says on the website:
"Whether you're out and about, enjoying a quiet day at home or having lunch with friends, Crystal Light offers great tasting, low calorie refreshment that gives you the benefits of water because it's simply water and great taste. "

And "gives you the benefits of water because it's simply water and great taste. " stood out.

Huh?

Crystal Light is a SUGAR FREE product.

It was one of the first products to use "Nutra Sweet"
