Soccer is not that important. They show programing that brings in the most advertising dollars. The most advertising dollars comes when they show stuff that more people watch.

Sadly, Soccer is a just a childrens game in the US, it would draw high enough ratings to put on live television. Maybe is the US makes it to an important game, but I would expect to see other countries games take important spots on US television.

They have round the clock coverage of Roger Clemens' next bowel movement.

The TV rights were bought by other TV's, that's why ESPN don't broadcast in Latin America.
