The Germans have one decent player and he's injured. If C Rica can hold them for the first 20 mins and the impatient German crowd get on the team's back, I can see them choking and the Ricans causing an upset.

Costa Rica isn't that strong at all, and I can't really see why Germany should perform so bad on this WC. Ok, they've had some bad results the last months, but I'm sure they'll get far this tournament, as always.

And why is Ballack the only 'decent' (I wouldn't say decent, he's a top player) player in the squad?

What about Borowski, Ernst, Frings, Schneider, Schweinsteiger and Klose?

Their only real problem is their defence I think, they have a really solid midfield and a dangerous strikers..
