XVid file - sound not working
 

im trying to play prison break and the sound isnt working. says unable to download codec.

Prison.Break.S01E19.HDTV.XviD-XOR.avi

thats the file name, other xvid work fine but that file doesnt. i installed some codecs but i guess im missing one. does anyone know what i need to install?

You might want to install the AC3 Filter Audio Codec from here http://ac3filter.sourceforge.net/
If you haven't already.

First download Gspot - http://www.headbands.com/gspot/
Then Run the file threw to see what the codec used to encode the sound was
Then Google that codec and dl/install

its telling me both the audio and video codes are installed. for audio it says fraunhofer iis mpeg layer 3 codec (Advanced)

than i clicked render and it says "vfw_s_partial_render - some of the streams in this movie are in an unsupported format"

Good to hear, i was going to suggest re installing the codec but you got it working already.
