Fucking spyware/adware bullshit again?

This is the second time this year this shit has gotten out of hand.

There're hijackers that I found on my system that literally changed the content of webpages I visited. I watched as it altered affiliate codes, extensions etc.

WTF? Shit like this is going to kill the internet. I had to spend the past three days using multiple anti-spyware programs to fix shit.

I find out not only do some of them not work but that some of them put adware ON your system. WTF?

Some programs have no problem with this stuff.

Yeah well how about suggesting some? The best so far is spydoctor but it ended up putting adware on my system.

I meant some adult programs have no problem supporting them.

As for how to clean it up, it's really hard to say without knowing exactly what kind you have infecting your computer. Any information on what it is doing or processes it is running would help.

Ja, well knowin' some of the cheesy bastards in this business I'm betting these hijackers were invented in the mainstream first because they weren't that hard to find it's just that it doesn't change the page you uploaded but a surfer sees a different page. So you don't get an alert when the page changes.

Affiliates need to be on the ball here.

The first step in the process of eliminating spyware is to remove MSIE.

Did you happen to see what these affiliate codes were changed to?

Have you tried this online scanner?

I use ad-aware and ewido run them both in safe mode. and before restarting your system, run msconfig and shut everything off in the startup items, and look through the processes list for anything suspicious. After 2 days of trying, this worked like a charm. Took me from 56 running processes to 17... (3 less than before I was infected)
