Get both, I did.
DirecTV with Tivo, the greatest thing since the internet. And a cable modem through Cox. Suhweet. |
Direct Tv, for the sake of 20 bucks depending on where you live, you can get your card changed to get all the channels
|
You can do the same thing with cable :)
|
cable cable
|
Not digital from what I understand, inless you wanna spend alot of money
|
I wish you could order single channels without being forced to buy a package.
All I want is: 1. playboy channel 2. movie channel 3. much music or mtv 4. nature channel 5. sports channel 6. fox (like Simpsons) 7. History channel Wonderful if only those 7 channels could be ordered but I have to pay for 50+ channels I never watch. Using digital cable right now. |
Yeah Digital cable takes a serious hack card. If you have to choose 1 I'd say go with the cable so you can have the cable modem on hand too.

LoveAsianChicks, I had respect for you as an adult webmaster until you said "The Playboy Channel!" I thought any self respecting smut peddler would mention one of the much harder core porn channels that always come right after the Playboy channel on the dial. Who would choose Sex Court over Tera Patricks new movie!?:winkwink:
|
To be honest here, I have never ordered a porno channel. Just a few movies from pay-per-view. I mentioned playboy cause everyone knows the name....When it came down to actually ordering I would select a more hardcore channel, I just don't know the specific name.
Perhaps I should of said "adult channel" instead. |

It depends on the quality of your cable where you live.
Directv is pretty low quality when copared to DVD's, and on a nice plasma screen, Most of DirecTV just plain looks like crap (other than the HD channels). Reason for this is DirecTV over-compresses the video feed to get more channels. Cable has more bandwidth (in theory), so it should be less likely to look like shit if you have a good digital cable carrier. |
Wow DirectTV's latest commercials, get 130 channels.. :)
Dishnetwork get 500 channels, tough decision :) I have Cox Digital Cable, QWest Digital Cable, DirectTV and DishNetwork.. go for the DishNetwork.. ya ya so I like my tv :) |

too bad they wouldn't go for it... i'm sure someone has tried. no one would buy the nature channel besides about 20 tree-huggers across the country.. |
My coat hanger stuffed into the hole where the antenna USED to be works fine for the amount of TV that I watch :thumbsup
