A house across the street from me is for sale: $1 million!!!

I know property values in So Cal are a little outrageous, but this is insane.

Less that 800 sq feet

It is the one in the background of this picture

I wish them all the luck in the world, but I have my doubts.

Bdiddy 06-08-2006 12:33 AM

$1 mil for a rambler huh? Must be a really nice part of town.

I'm sure it is since you live there Baddog!

I think they are asking about $400k too much. Will be interesting to see if they find a suck . . . . er, a buyer.

flashbang 06-08-2006 12:43 AM

Even with the toys I think $1 mill is a little steep . . . . but I do hope they get it.

Choppa 06-08-2006 12:53 AM

yeah we are staying couple of burbs away at hermosa beach i doubt they will get anything near that price

No, but I think that is why they are asking so much. It is zoned R-2, but they are going to have to develop it first to get that kind of scratch.

That is ridiculous, 800 square feet only for a mill.

Stacey_JoinRightNow 06-08-2006 01:10 AM

Now thats pretty huge and expensive... And I think its not worth it!

CaptainWolfy 06-08-2006 01:30 AM

MegaPartnerJerry 06-08-2006 01:31 AM

The R-2 zoning is what they're asking one million for plus I'm guessing you live in a bad ass neighborhood! Shit you sell your house as well!

xclusive 06-08-2006 01:35 AM

wow, Thats crazy but good luck to them, There is nothing wrong with setting a high price.

emthree 06-08-2006 01:40 AM

List your house for 950k, it'll look like a bargain!

KRL 06-08-2006 01:44 AM

Sure.. and know it costs a lot more in the UK, but guessing... around 300 UK pounds ($600K US)?

On the other hand - location is relevant - it's next to baddog :winkwink:

sonofsam 06-08-2006 02:09 AM

Okay for the people that missed it, this thread has nothing to do with the house across the street being sold for 1 million... it has to do with baddog wanting everyone on gfy to know that he lives in a hour thats worth 600k+

how convenient that his bike and car are in the pic too ? the car is in the driveway.... clearly he just pulled his bike out of the garage for the pic :1orglaugh

btw baddog, if your neighbour wants to move... why don't you tell him to just hook his trailer up to your car and you'll pull him to his new lot?? (credit to B!)

What Same old Shit doesn't understand is that the picture was taken a few days ago for XBiz . . . . and posted here. Yeah, it was a posed picture. No shit.

Actually, it is on a pretty good size lot. One thing it has going for it.

If I were to buy it, I would tear the existing down and start from scratch.

Do you have the MLS listing information? I want to be Baddog's neighbor, it would be like the Hatfields and McCoys

Yngwie 06-08-2006 03:33 AM

georgeyw 06-08-2006 04:36 AM

SweetJeanette 06-08-2006 09:19 AM

I wouldn't pay that much!

chase 06-08-2006 09:22 AM

Wow. My house is like 1600 sq ft plus two car garage and I think it's valued at about $200k. Florida real estate is dirt cheap compared to there. And my buddy from Indiana says it's even cheaper where he's from.

axelcat 06-08-2006 09:36 AM

the prices are sick in cali

Herb Kornfield 06-08-2006 09:43 AM

This is why I love Pennsylvania :)

2,000 sq feet, 3 bed /2 bath on a 1/2 acre of land, and its only $200k .....
