Thats great, keep it up for a while and then try to add 5 minutes more. Keep that up untill you reach 50 minutes. If you can jog for 50 minutes your set :thumbsup

yes, increase gradually to build up stamina, otherwise, if you are out-of-shape you will be so sore you will talk yourself out of exercising.

fitness, diet, and exercise are lifestyle issues that should be phased into if you plan on staying on the program.

and it will take most people about 1 year of steady work to achieve and maintain a high level of fitness.

now, keep it goin', and soon you will be in the top 1% of fitness.

if you are over 30 consider a different fitness regime for cardio (i.e. bicycling) jogging long-term does cause joint stress and can accelerate damage in later years. (arthritis, tendon probs, knee probs, etc.)

if you must jog, get very good running shoes to mitigate joint stress.

2HousePlague 06-07-2006 12:24 PM

I jog my memory every day.

reynold 06-07-2006 07:44 PM

A perfect way to revitalize those sleeping muscles and blood. Keep that up, mate! :thumbsup

evilclown 06-07-2006 08:15 PM

I came back from jogging about 1 hr ago. Took a shower, sat down in front of my computer and felt great. Clears all the cobwebs out the head. Used to run 30 minutes every day. Had jaw surgery so i stopped for about a month. Trying to get it back up to 30 a day. It's HARD but I am going to keep trying. Don't quit. You'll have some good days and some bad days. Best exercise for losing weight by far. I like listening to System of Down when I am running. It's nice and fast paced. Good luck.

MaddCaz 06-07-2006 08:15 PM

shower up!

cranki 06-07-2006 10:54 PM

got up at 7:00 this morning and just finished another 20 mins (don't worry, I already took a shower)... now I'm ready for the day :thumbsup

cranki 07-04-2006 07:03 AM

so, after pausing for some days of extensive studying, I ran yesterday and today at around 90F, but it didn't exhaust me too much, seems like my body got used to it now... gotta increase the distance :thumbsup

That's awesome, cranki! I just started back up a couple weeks ago after a year break. I'm a mess right now, but I can feel my endurance coming back. Sitll can't make it to a half hour (I know, sad), but I will.
