Sad Day for Europe - Human Rights (pic)

the Council of Europe will release their report later today and its pretty harsh on a number of countries. The CIA spider web:

http://gfx.dagbladet.no/pub/artikkel...rtoppstrot.jpg

Italy, Sweden, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Great Britain, Germany and Turkey can all be held responsible for human rights violations.

Worse is the situation with Poland and Romania which most certanly had secret detention centers.

The report finished off with:

"The impression that some governments tried to create at the beginning of the debate - That europe was a victim of secret CIA plots - does not seem to correspond with reality"

"It is now clear - although we are still far from having established thw whole truth - the authorities in several european countries actively participated with the CIA in these unlawful activities. Other countries ignored them knowingly or did not want to know"

the report

---

I'm ashamed that Norway provided the CIA with information and I hope we get punished for doing so  along with the rest of the countried listed!

totally understand.. my view is that "whatever it takes" will only bounce back at the CIA/USA and the rest of the countries involved.. it will only lead to more and more terror attacks instead of preventing them

E$_manager 06-07-2006 06:53 AM

i think countries in Europe are aware of that but they can do nothing - just not to be involved.

SgtStrider 06-07-2006 07:03 AM

thats that why the europe has the lowest crime rates. you fuck up there, they chop your balls offs. w/ no trail.

whatever it takes? even if it takes terrorism to counter terrorism also huh? We gotta keep things lawful otherwise there won't be any difference between us and terrorists.

Theo 06-07-2006 07:09 AM

TheSenator 06-07-2006 07:11 AM

well let me give you a sad dose of reality.. for many years... the US and Europe have been breaking civil liberties... example: when the US wants to break the law and easedrop on a US citizen they call on the EU to do it... and vice versa.... its sad to say but you have no rights anymore if you are from the EU or US.....

yeah because as Canada knows, if you do less and less, you won't be attacked:1orglaugh

Its easy for these human rights clowns to "say" something illegal happened, much harder to actually prove it.

"oh my god! a terrorist was transfered to another country! oh, the humanity!":1orglaugh

Theo 06-07-2006 07:37 AM

because you gave up from your personal rights, doesn't mean everyone is gonna follow

Oh noes!!! The Americans and their allies are fighting back against Islamic terrorism!!! How dare they??? We all know that the Americans are the evil ones, what with their President who looks like a chimp, their support for the Evil Zionists and their capitalism which brings nothing but misery and doesn't in fact produce freedom, wealth and contentment.

It's almost as if the 'reality based' :1orglaugh , 'progressive' :1orglaugh movement thinks that the right of devout Muslim men and women to work to install a global Islamic Caliphate by violent means outweighs the rights of ordinary people not to be bombed and subjugated by Islamic terrorists.

this is pretty funny, because I go to that exact place in Poland to have fun on my sportbike. I have no idea how it's possible they had a secret detention center there :)

Manowar 06-07-2006 08:23 AM

snatch dudes with beards, keep them in jails all over the World, can't prove that they're terrorists - keep them locked anyway

Oh noes!!! I have a beard at the moment. Does that mean that I will be arrested too?

The truth is of course that people are not arrested for having beards. That was just something which Antonio made up to make himself look stupid (why he'd want to do that is beyond me).

Another truth of course, which is lost on the 'reality based' :1orglaugh community, is that ordinary criminal law does not work when applied to determining whether or not a suspected jihadi is indeed a risk to society. That's because during war time, the level of proof needed to keep an enemy combatant locked up is lower than the proof needed to convict a common criminal.

But then again, I don't think that Bush is Hitler, or that Jews are evil, or that capitalism sucks so what do I know :winkwink:

Grapesoda 06-07-2006 10:22 AM

very funny . . what about all the human rights violations by the fucking arabs? :321GFY

That has more to do with the fact that it takes several years if not decades to plan out an attack such as 9/11, than it has to do with how our administration is working.

Pleasurepays 06-07-2006 10:43 AM

the worlds only hope is that one day all the peace loving hippies will finally understand that there is no reasoning with radical fundamentalists. there is only winning or losing.

meanwhile... they will keep killing you and yours while you cry that bush is an asshole and cry about all sorts of other things that have nothing to do with the fact that people living in a politically unstable, theocratic shithole with frequent fighting and wars, no civil rights or democracy, trying to grow food in a field of rocks while living in a mud house in 120 degree heat and wondering how they will eat the next day makes people lose hope, makes people angry and makes people vulnerable to manipulation by psychopaths seeking power and attention and fame. its been going on since the dawn of civilization and it will continue as long as people remain hopeful that there can be some sort of "understanding" and are naive enough to believe that "if we just stop doing this or that... they won't keep lashing out".

i dont think we all have to get along. i think we have to kill all those who don't want to get along.

but thats just me :)

seems to me that 5 years after so many promises of countless attacks following 9/11 by Bin Laden et al is plenty of time. god forbid anyone should give the government a tiny bit of credit for its dramatic reorganization and countless foiled attempts.
