Yahoo rapes mgp's and makes their own porn video service

http://video.yahoo.com/video/profile?src=jerk-off-tgp

pretty fucking ballsy .. they basically recorded every video link on the entire site and are redisplaying them without giving 1 linkback to the site they raped them from

"cliffnotes"

Why would any surfer go to jerk-off-tgp when they can get it all in one easy format from yahoo , just straight videos

xanx 06-06-2006 09:51 PM

can you block them with robots.txt? or .htaccess ?

L0rdJuni0r 06-06-2006 09:52 PM

fuckers... i hope u watermark your videos....

SmokeyTheBear 06-06-2006 09:52 PM

hmm and the "safe search" seems to have no effect . all porn results still show up. the only difference is it doesnt show how many times each video has been viewed. what a bunch of thieves

SmokeyTheBear 06-06-2006 09:54 PM

12569 videos in channel holy crap

Martin3 06-06-2006 09:54 PM

Wow that blows. A few weeks ago I noticed they were running a google image style search for vids that loaded the page in a fame. Breaking frames is easy, what they're doing now doesn't even seem legal. :disgust

Theo 06-06-2006 09:55 PM

tight shit

wedouglas 06-06-2006 09:56 PM

how do you browse by tgp though? I just typed in pinkworld but didnt get what i expected. how can you browse by site?

SmokeyTheBear 06-06-2006 09:56 PM

well now yes , but its too late they already have all the video links recorded. wont help to block them now , the videos arent from the tgp they are from all the people that submit galleries to them.

Imagine every video gallery on "thehun" recorded and displayed in one location with no advertising , just straight videos, without 1 linkback to thehun, thats what yahoo just did.

you think its easy , they are now using a little know tag called "security=restricted , try building a frame and putting that in the tag. no scripts or framebusters will work..

NTSS 06-06-2006 09:57 PM

Holly fucking shit! Not only that ....they're hotlinking!!! This is fucked!

V_RocKs 06-06-2006 09:58 PM

hmm... this should be interesting.

wedouglas 06-06-2006 09:58 PM

I dont think this is bad. its worthless for porn if you ask me. I would always use an mgp instead of this.

probbaly doesnt update as much as a tgp

Not so bad though if you are the affiliate...

SmokeyTheBear 06-06-2006 09:59 PM

not only that but the security=restricted tag also disables the functionality of almost every site. so while they may see your site in a frame , it will be virtually unusable.. any attempt by a surfer to purchase anything while on your site or thru your site would find it to be impossible as its bisabled by the frame security tag

yup a bunch of hotlinking assholes is what they are .. and they do it even worse with the images search now , by disabling any attempt at busting out of their "trap" frame.. so they hotlink you , then force the surfer to visit your site even though they cant possibly purchase anything through your site or see it the way it was intended to be seen , so they double wham your for bandwidth and make it impossible for you to make a sale ( and they disable your google adwords if you have them on your page )

fetishblog 06-06-2006 10:08 PM

I can't resolve video.yahoo.com.

Martin3 06-06-2006 10:09 PM

I found one of my small sites that's got a few links in there but most forward to google :1orglaugh

http://video.yahoo.com/video/search?...jugbangers.com

hezochiah 06-06-2006 10:13 PM

It's fucked up too because the govt will still go after adult webmastes who actually have a built in security system with the credit card verification, but probably won't do anything against Yahoo even though anyone can access the vids even minors...

babymaker 06-06-2006 10:17 PM

what did you put in the search box to get that??

Martin3 06-06-2006 10:18 PM

btw add this to your body tag
Code:

onload="if (self!= top) top.location = self.location;"
It'll still break the restricted tag.

Murderous 06-06-2006 10:20 PM

Wow... wtf?

lightspeed. basically its called "channels" im assuming they are preset "rips" of tgp/mgp's they arent user made ( although they can be ) , basically your supposed to find cool videos yahoo has hotlinked , make "channels" of stolen content them put all the videos in one convenient horde of stolen content to send and display to your friends , all without giving credit to the site it was ripped from,

marketsmart 06-06-2006 10:28 PM

isnt this a copyright infringement case in the making? as well as a 2257 violation if the new bill passes?

SmokeyTheBear 06-06-2006 10:29 PM

ahh your talking about firefox.. im talking about the majority of internet users not firefox

yah i didnt realise that until you said something and i thought about it for a sec and figured firefox must be the reason as they are always one step behind i.e. , no wonder google wants everyone to switch to firefox... yahoo disables peoples google adwords

SmokeyTheBear 06-07-2006 04:59 PM

bump 4 the uninformed

SmokeyTheBear 06-07-2006 05:04 PM

You should see how fast people are subcribing to these "channels" some of them have jumped up into the 1000's in mere days

Say goodbye to your mgp traffic..

EvilFubAr 06-07-2006 05:27 PM

This is 2257 compliant how?

EvilFubAr 06-07-2006 05:28 PM

What about 2257?

SmokeyTheBear 06-07-2006 05:35 PM

i think 2257 is the least of their problems. ( although it might be a good way of starting to expose this thievery )

TheJimmy 06-07-2006 05:37 PM

like whoa...

< goes to dig up some movies to plant

:thumbsup

xclusive 06-07-2006 05:38 PM

I am fairly certain they were excempted from record keeping requirements.

AmateurFlix 06-07-2006 05:44 PM

I'm glad I don't have an MGP. all it ripped form my site was one short video clip

i didnt see any specific exemptions that apply.. that wouldnt also apply to mgp's or tgp's ( i.e. they dont host the content only link to it like most mgp'sd and tgp's that arent currently exempt )

The ones going through revision as well as being fought right now. Not the old version.

Matiz 06-07-2006 05:55 PM

they are preparing for yahoo.xxx

Yngwie 06-07-2006 05:56 PM

christ.. 1 of my domains
http://video.yahoo.com/video/search?...TF-8&x=35&y=20

Yngwie 06-07-2006 05:57 PM

149 videos listed just for one of my domains. Of course, there are links to the original gallery listed with the movies.. Guess that would explain why I have been seeing yahoo in my reality cash stats a lot lately.. no sales from it though.

Yngwie 06-07-2006 06:00 PM

never the less, what are the odds of a surfer clicking the link to the original gallery if he/she has access to 1000's more videos by just using the yahoo video search? With or without a link back I still see this as stealing.

it doesnt always give you credit either. if someone hotlinks your video , they will get the credit , so yahoo will give them the video from your site , and give a linkback to a totally different site.

and yes, why would they click your link when all the videos are right there
