I don't get it, why would someone buy a wow character? Isn't the whole point of the game to acquire stuff, gain levels, etc?

This thread is a perfect example of what's gone wrong with GFY...

People want a head start ... especially if they want a "change of scenery" and want to hop servers.

Laziness = profit. I have a TON of level 60's .. but this one has too much stuff to sell through normal channels .. not many can afford it, lol.

I would never buy an account. Getting to a higher level is the point of the whole game imo.

Mmmm, I have a ton of them. Record for me is $3,500 for a Shaman with full end-game gear. A *full* set of the *best*, plus 20,000g.

Yeah, it's not something non-WOW players would understand. It has to do with moving servers, and the pain in the ass of grinding for equipment. Level is irrelevent -- I can get a 60 in under a week. Equipment (end-game equipment) can't be bought and sold, for the most part. MONTHS are invested in getting it -- sometimes a year or more.

took me almost 3 years of on/off play to get my char where it is in FFXI...I'd only sell it at gunpoint

I intentionally have avoided starting to play after watching a friend get so sucked in he lost his job and he is a guy that never get into games before.

I don't see any ZG or MC gear on him and you obviously merely bought gold to get your mount and many of your BOE's.

Last MMORPG I played was Star Wars Galaxies... I lasted about 4 months before being bored by the tediousness of the game.


Then I tried Eve... haven't played for months, I've just been training my char. I'm up to something around 16-18 mil SP... dunno how much that can go for on Ebay

Eve was pretty awesomehahaha160;in the beginning, but my interest faded as the gankers were SO far ahead, and there were few ways to catch up without grinding 20 hours/day. I forget what SP is? Isk is the money, right?

at most 150 cuss of the gold. prolly the bare min to get into an mc raid guild. minus the gold my guild leader bought a dwarf priest for 100 bux with similar type gear.

I don't play WOW almost 3 months and I'll never come back! Once I checked the total time I've spent there - 29 DAYS!!! omg... I'll never waste my time on WOW any more as real life is much better and more interesting:winkwink:
