I think it is more getting the right eyeballs to view what you have, just like anything else. More exposure betters the possibility of a good sale. In that thread yesterday, sextoyking said 'eye of the beholder'. Problem is finding the right buyer with the right pocket depth :( Where is Taboo? he was always good for domain stuff. Looks like Klixxxman came through with some good information though. |
FYI - just confirming what you all have stated above...
Many companies will appraise your name for $10-$50 but domain name expert Edwin John warns that the problem with domain appraisals is that there are no industry standards. Appraisals for any name can vary by tens of thousands of dollars with different appraisers. In the final analysis, a domain name is only really worth what a buyer is willing to pay for it. Not only are appraisals inconsistent and the valuations may be artificial, but many appraisers try to appeal to your vanity or greed and even outright scams exist. |

I'll look for it. If you want some quotations or insight, email me. I own a ton of domains. |
Hello Metaman - Moniker actually has the highest domain sales average than any of the domain brokers out there. We invented the domain escrow and appraisal system for the entire industry and were one of the first sites to ever sell a domain through our DomainSystems network. If you go to www.trafficclub.com and set up an account there, you will monetize your domains while they are for sale and email me and I will have one of my Sr. Account Execs work with you directly. [email protected]
I assume we will be covered quite a bit in the upcoming domain article due to our success in the last domain live auction in Vegas just last month - http://dnjournal.com/cover/2006/may-trafficwest.htm. We sold $2.1M of domains in just 3 hours. Our next live auction is coming in October at TRAFFIC East in Hollywood Florida. Let us know how we can help. |
if you want some people who know a lot about domain names you can check out the www.namepros.com forum.
