terrorists in canada??

Our southern cousins can laugh all they like, but as soon as the terrorists make bail they'll be heading for the Peace Bridge - where your lameass Customs officers will hand them a roadmap to the American landmarks.

Seriously, if the American gov't was really concerned about terrorists coming in via Canada you'd think they'd have the Minute Men up here and a few thousand miles of barbed wire fence... for starters. |
It does seem a little convenient that this happens a couple months after the right wing extremist war monger Stephen Harper gets elected. Just like 9/11 happened months after the right wing extremist war monger George Bush was appointed. I'm not sure if I buy it. Now Harper has a better chance of getting a majority government with his "war on terror" and "God bless Canada" bullshit.

On the bright side, that would mean Canada would sacrifice some of their young men and women as cannon fodder in Iraq to make a few rich people richer, so it would save a couple of our boys.
|
Isn't the Supreme Court about to make a decision on an anti-terrorism bill? Interesting timing...
|
I believe this shit happens in every western country.
I am thankful they were caught and will be prosecuted. Canada has been on Bin Ladens list for a few years. With troops in Afghanistan and worldwide, the extremists have warned canada they will be attacked, its just a matter of when. Having homegrown terrorists is nothing new, look at the UK and Spain. There is splinter cells worldwide and tracking what these groups plan/do i'm sure is a hell of a job for our governments. I only pray that CSIS and other intelligence angencies can stop them. :2 cents: |

It's impossible for any country to stop domestic terrorists 100% of the time. That's why the war on terror is such a scam, there's no way we can stop terrorism if people continue wanting to attack us. Asymmetrical warfare (terrorism) is a very effective tactic. That's why the US used it so much in our illegal Latin American wars. All the government in the United States has done has been to protect themselves; the people in the administration, Senators, etc. They're pretty well insulated now. The rest of us citizens are in much more danger now than we were on Sept 10th, 2001. The answer is to stop colonizing countries and making people want to bomb us. They don't hate us because of our freedom, lol. France went through the same thing in Algiers for about 8 years in the 50's and 60's as we're going through in Iraq now. Only now we live in a global world, so we're in danger at home as well. Some people will never accept being colonized, no matter what fancy words we call it at home. |

Scare all us Canadians into thinking we are doomed, then allow all sorts of bills to be passed while our attention is side tracked listening to terror plots that were found out and spoiled |

Maybe instead of lengthy jail sentences...they'll each receive a Gemini Award? |

Is that one of those kiss-ass countries that sits on the fence or frantically waves a white flag everytime a world issue arises that requires action? |
