Need help with CGI Script
Anyone know where I can get a free script that does redirection and is fully updatable? Here's an example: http://63.210.183.41/clickit/cm.cgi?id=6
id can be changed to differing number so as to go to another sponsor. Thanks in advance |
Something like that would take any decent programmer about 5 minutes to write. I don't know of any scripts that are ready to roll, but it really would not be hard to write.

The following script will redirect you to GFY when you load it in your browser. Save it to a file, chmod +x 755 (make sure it's in a script dir) and load it. You can work it out with parameters, mysql database to add tracking and read addresses from, and all kinds of other shit.
Here's what I tried and it worked: #!/usr/bin/perl print "Location: http://www.gofuckyourself.com\n\n"; :2 cents: |

Did I turn you on, hyper? The thrill of tracking sponsor clicks, so refreshing!

i've already made something that does this, for another project. it's fast, simple, configurable and logs everything. i could easily tweak it for you. hit me up on icq if you want to know more.

I'm writing a free one. I'll post a URL to it as soon as I get it done. It's simple and dirty, but it will get the job done. I have been needing something like this for a long time too. Been wondering if a sponsor I use is shaving hits. This should tell me for sure.
|
Most sponsors can cancel you for sending hits from a cgi -- so that means if you use a cgi outstats they have a good reason to delete your ass ;) Good way to protect themselves from shave-detection...
Anyhow good sponsors will give you permission to use a cgi redirect -- but I'd advise asking first. CGI traffic in stats logs looks kindof suspicious you have to admit... |
Yikes, never thought of that. We'll see if they want to cancel me for using this script. If they do, I'll know they are hiding something. I'll email them and ask if they have a problem with me doing my own click tracking.

you can hit me up on ICQ if you want 4763784 with what you want and need
