Help from Florida Peeps Please :-)

We are looking for a nice oceanfront hotel / condo that is as close as possible to the Westin in Hollywood for the Internext in August.

We are going to rent a car but dont want to drive too far.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

My complex which is up the street from the Westin (2-3 miles) has a hospitality "suite" which is basically a 2 bedroom fully furnished apartment (with a washer & dryer) for $99/night or I think $500/week

Not oceanfront but it's about a 5 minute bike ride to the beach from here.

Why am I moving again? haha

thanks for the info.. I will keep that in mind. I am really looking for something right on the ocean.. it is not too often we get to go to Florida and I love the ocean..

since the westin no longer allows smoking.. I need to find another place close by.

where are you moving to luv?

Let me know if you reconsider...

I am moving to Omaha - grandparents aren't doing too hot (though, they're doing a bit better now but the wheel is already in motion to move).

This was the reason for the change to sapphic.

Yup, just booked my room and flight yesterday. Couldn't you just get a room with a balcony to smoke on it? Surely the Westin can't enforce what you do on the balcony, unless they have snipers across the street looking for you, lol.

I think you should be alright on the balcony's though. Technically, you aren't smoking in your room :winkwink:

Flawed logic on the Westin's part. The room will smell like smoke if smokers stay in it-even if they don't smoke in it.

So, why not just make sure the slider was shut while you smoke on the balcony, and bring febreeze with you to spray your clothes and hair before you go back in?

MickeyG 06-06-2006 03:49 PM

maybe you should just quit.
