If a owner is constantly spamming his affiliate program on GFY
 

Starting BS threads and shit and is not an advertiser. Do you hold that against the company? I personally do as I find it very annoying. There are several affiliate owners in here who do this and they always talk about how "Amazing" their product is. Well if your shit is that "Amazing" why can?t you afford to advertise?

I figure if they are in here trying to pull the kids and newbies, that's who they are interested in. One of the most useful things about GFY has always been to tell you who to avoid.

I also dislike the people who post "business threads" that are just spams for their products loosely hidden in some biz talk.

It is pretty easy to spot and skip over those threads. It doesn't bother me much.

For views maybe bc. the smart people will realise what a clown that particular person is and just ignore them.

It's a fine line...here and on any other board there are people simply responding to a thread - or starting one - simply for a sig spot.

But that's what the mods are for - deciding when enough is enough :)

I don't think I have ever clicked a topspot banner on this site. I find them more annoying than anything with their stupid sounds and music. :2 cents:

I actually find the "spam" posts to be more informative, and I actually click them more. For instance I checked out that new Plugin that was on here today...

topspot banners are pointless to me. Branding falls into that same category. I can think of much better things to do with that money.

I was an advertiser for a while, it was few months I think.

Yeah, but thats different. People with stupid threads and annoying posts(how great the program is) won't get much attention from real affiliates anyway. No matter if they advertise or not.
