Actually, the company behind it is NVS Entertainment. This is a company whose stock has gone from $51 to about $3.50 on almost no volume in the last 12 months.

Besides the obvious, I think what bothers me most about this is the ridiculous hype I have read so far.

First, the company website (I cant find it on there now, must have been changed sometime today) claimed that PV was accepted on thousands of websites....the product has yet to launch.

Second, in a March press release, the company claimed to have "overwhelming acceptance by the adult industry" yet until this morning, the only people that had heard of them was KB, and maybe his brother.

Look, if you have a product, present it and let it stand on it's merits. I'm already turned off.

Just my two cents, I wish KB the best of luck.

Well I know that Hustler has the same sort of deal about to be launched too, not sure if its in affiliation with this company or not. There were two guys in Toronto I talked to, cant recall names now, but they had a deal with hustler to distribute prepaid cards to gas stations, porn stores etc. There is quite a bit of the market out there that do have cash, but no credit cards or bank account. See what happens with it. I dont see where the premise of the idea is that flawed really. If people were embarrased about buying pornographic materials in stores they wouldnt have playboy, and penthouse, and hustler, and other mags in gas stations and other public places. :2 cents:

The Hustler prepaid card has been around for AT LEAST 5 or 6 years and has pretty much failed. Maybe they are planning to relaunch it, but I know we were contacted pre 2000 to beta it.

We sold the hustler cards in our stores a few yrs back.. let's just say that the 10k or so they sent didn't sell much at all....

Hell, I can remember trying to do this even back selling pre-paid minutes for 900 numbers. Never did work. Some of the cards were "collector's editions", lol! :)

Therein lies one of the BIGGEST obstacles. This is a porn card, nothing else. Major chains will face pressure from right wing groups. Without major chain support, you haven't got a chance in hell.
