Beginner questions

Hi,

I know these questions might sound pretty stupid but I am worried about getting in trouble with the law.

1) Can I use pictures of other paysites that are available on their site in the non member(freearea) area on my page to explain certain things? My page is about a certain sexual lifestyle and I have sections with stories and sections that explain the lifestyle. I don't have pictures that I took myself so can I use theirs?
Can I use them in my grapic design or logos?

My site will be non commercial.

2) On my community board members can upload pictures and videos to file hosts and hotlink them. What are the legal issues there? Am I as the webmaster and owner of the site responsible for that? I mean copyright? Because I don't know where the pictures are from that they post, right?

Can I use your car if it's not in your garage?

You are stealing content if you use it and do not pay for a license to use it.

You need to learn a bit more.

Yes I need to learn that is why I posted, didn't I?
Digital files are not cars. My car is nor for sale or member entry.
The pictures in non-member area would be like the classified ad in the newspaper to sell the car.

Where is the law that states that I can not copy the classified ad?

What about the second question?

Here's a more helpful explaination:

Most sponsors have free content that you can use to promote their sites. If you go to the sponsors actual program site, there will possibly be a section marked 'content' that you can download to use to promote their products. All sponsors are different with the promotional materials they have. Make sure you read the terms and conditions from the sponsor to see what is allow with the content.

So in short just don't just copy information from the sponsors paysites unless you have permission to do so. Hit me on IcQ if you have any questions and welcome to GFY.

You are headed to prison.
1 you cant use then period its theft, people will notify your server and shut you down or worse.
2 you will have to monitor the upload section 24-7 we closed ours for just that reason.
How would you like to go away for the weekend and come back monday to a board full of child porn.

TIPS

You can use sponsor's content in case you promote them. Just contact the sponsor and ask if he won't mind using his watermarked pictures going maybe with a banner or smth like that

Are you for serious or some like Juicy or Boneprone. I can't beleive you are that stupid to think you can copy a classified ad as if it's free.

Your car like a digital file it's property, you steal it you break the law. How simple is that?

You're probably one of these idiots who think if it's on Newsgroups or Google it's Public Domain. It was stolen once so it's legal to steal it agian. :Oh crap
