Any hosting geeks on?
I have had an issue the last few days that when I chmod anything (even to 777) the script stops working and throws an Error 500.
Its like the chmod is corrupting the script - anyone got any ideas? - I tried Googling it but came up empty. Thanks |
Yes your host is most likely using suexec - you do not need 777 on your files, 755 should work, regardless of what the docs say.
However, some files can be created as a different user, for example if a php script generates them. CGI scripts should be ok though. |
Hmmm, what script is it?
