Chris 06-04-2006 06:34 PM

btw i really do have the code to do this ;)

WiredGuy 06-04-2006 06:37 PM

Its not hard, its basically a multi layered page that gets superimposed to Myspace's bulletin posting page but still requires the surfer to click the Post button since the hash and hashcode are embedded. I haven't seen one thats truly "automated" but still requires the surfer to click on the Post button.

I wonder if its possible using AJAX to do some true autosubmitters as most people are used to this by now.

I'll throw someone a few bucks who can put one of these together (where the user still needs to click).

Yes WG
sooo many different ways to do this

all it is doing is calling the submit button in an iframe and sizing the iframe right to show alil grey box that you click.

I am working on something that will be a real quiz myspace type of a deal but they will be auto posting my site again with whatever quiz they took and the results they got

taking alot of time and testing
:(

my myspace has traffic (48 hours with a page with zero adverts )

I have it. If you're intuitive enough you can rip the code right off the pages.

Werd. Took me a total of about 10 minutes to figure out how to make one for my site.

Chris 06-04-2006 07:02 PM

here is the code
www.jupzchris.com/myspace/quiz.html

look at the source code(s)

p.s. - you must be logged into myspace for it to work

Thing is that you're calling their address with the post params. Once it gets through, it (methinks) assigns a unique ID to the bulletin that you gotta confirm. I don't see how Ajax would do it... unless there's some crazy way. :)

VB on the other hand... :winkwink:

Yes, if you know of a way to collect the hash/hashcode variable, it becomes really easy. AJAX can accomplish this, but requires the code to be hosted on the myspace.com domain. Like I said though, a lot of people are getting used to this form of bulletin spamming that they've gotten used to it. Hence, the desire for true automation.

I already have the code to extract it (spent some time researching it). What you can't do though is remotely do it from another domain, just myspace.com and localhost. Otherwise, you got a serious security issue. In conjunction with javascript and Ajax, you can do some really amazing things, including hash/hashcode fetching/assignment.

Change your title to Pounding Myspace instead of google

I was just using myspace as a way to learn AJAX. Its a great system, a lot of the programming I used to do in Perl can now be shifted to the clientside.
