    W-8 US Tax Form??

    Why do 99% of companies not require you to fill it out? And why are there a couple that do?

      cuz it's useless... if a sponsor requires you to fill it in, just drop them.

              There are different types of W-8s depending on your status but it's title is "Certificate of Foreign Status of Benificial Owner for United States Tax Withholding"

              As near as I can tell you're supposed to provide one to the company your getting money from so the company doesn't withold some of your money for US taxes.
