Anyone use Premium bonds?
Well i know the AER is low (about 3%) but the chance to win a million sounds fun... thoughts?
|
Did you just see Sir Alan on TV :)
It has been a reasonable investment for me. But only from the point when i had the max invested.. I am getting same rate of return as the bank and their is the possibility of hitting hahaha163;1M. |
Scotty can you icq me 46335817
|
AER? you have the url to more info handy?
|
Woj, Im certain its a UK only thing. Darren, I had some as a kid and won hahaha163;50 which paid for my first bike. I think in reality they are a nice sound investment to balance a portfolio due to the no risk strategy.
In fact youve got me thinking I may get some as I have the higher risk investments and need some balance, and as you say the possibility of copping a bigger prize does make it more interesting. |
That hahaha nonsense was 50 quid.

But I am pretty certain you have to reside in UK. There is no guaranteed income BTW, it purely relies on winning tickets to generate income. |
I have 100 pounds worth. So far I haven't won the million.
|
Plus you get your money back whenever you want, if you've got spare cash it'll be stoopid not to. I've had the forms lying around for ages and not managed to fill them in yet.
I guess I must be stoopid :( |
I have had hahaha163;10k worth of premium bonds since I wasa kid and I havent won shit. Great thing about them is that it is a lottery that you get your money back on the ticket even if you lose.
|
yeah, exactly. My idea is that if I don't play the lottery (I used to) but put that money into bonds atleast I am not losing anything and i I struck lucky a million would be fine with me.
