Fucking WebAir Asked Me To Fax an ID to Activate My Account
 

I am in fucking Vietnam right now, and they ask me to send them an ID , you know the 3rd world country, it'd take sometime to do that. I only have my laptop with me. Fuck Webair, spam me with other hosts please .

whatfor do they need an ID? For a hosting account? God, the DHS is really getting out of control...Next thing is a copy of your fingerprints.

yeah. I think they try to use my credit card for other purpose, that's why they need an ID to go with it .

It has nothing to do with the DHS idiot.

They only need your id to setup SSH on virtual accounts, unless it's changed since I used them. And they let me email a pic of it instead of fax.

That said I'd still go with a different host. :upsidedow

Well it took him 4 days to find a hotel and boat to take him to Vietnam that wouldnt ask for a passport.

Did you let the nice folks at Webair know what your limitations were due to the location? Perhaps they would've made an exception and set it live & collected the ID later. I know those guys and I can't imagine them not doing that if you just asked.
