If you will be using the file for web, check out this tutorial. You will have to create an automatic HREF Track:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/tutor...reftracks.html

If, on the other hand, you will be using the files off the web, it gets a little complicated and I'll be glad to provide conversion service for minimum of 500 movies. The popups will appear irrelevant of whether the movie is played from the website or standalone QuickTime player. :)

I'm not very familiar with WMP, so doubt that I'll give ya more info that you aleady don't know... basically you can either script it or DRM it. They've disabled scripting a while back.. there may be a way to hack around it but I haven't dug around to find such a way if it exists. Smokey, if anyone, may have info on that if there's a way. :upsidedow

WM 10 has the "run scripts" feature auto toggled to off.

Yep, WMP has it disabled by defaut and unless someone knows to go look for "that setting that will give me popups" it's not going to be activated.

For video with a popup I use 2-pass flash encoding. I can either pop a link automatically at the end, have a clickable link within the video, or both. I export a player with the encoding, then it can be used embedded or standalone. 98% of surfers have flash. While this likey wouldn't be what you'd want to use for a member's area it's good for promos... then again, a member's area video popping windows isn't something I would do:upsidedow
