Could see that last goal coming a mile away. The boofalo just ran out of steam.

The game is over, let the games begin.

Will have to be cheering for Edmonton. :D

Spunky 06-01-2006 07:36 PM

Should be a great series..Edmonchuckers in 6

StickyGreen 06-01-2006 07:37 PM

carolina vs edmonton? lmao, the nhl needs a better matchup than that to get some fans back...

Vitasoy 06-01-2006 07:38 PM

A nice comeback by the canes.. finals should be a good one

Furious_Male 06-01-2006 07:40 PM

Carolina in 4 is my bet. Edmonton will have a tough time skating with Carolina.

Its the Easts year. Makes it that much harder as a Buffalo fan to swallow.

StuartD 06-01-2006 07:41 PM

I hope Edmonton remembers how to play, after having so much time off!

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't all these playoff games been complete standingroom-only sellouts?

sickkittens 06-01-2006 07:55 PM

Buffalo was too hurt. I called it.

sickkittens 06-01-2006 07:55 PM

1st 2 games are on OLN? Ratings should be crazy...not.

Martin 06-01-2006 07:59 PM

I feel asleep during the first period and missed the whole game. Anyway lets go Edmonton!

A friend of mine got 8 seats in a row for the Carolina game tonight. Half of Carolina doesn't even know the team exists.

When has hockey ever had good ratings in the US?

Doesn't help that it's on OLN either.

Golf is more popular,The NHL had a bit of a following but the players were greedy during the strike and the fans don't forgive so fast.Probably set themselves back 5 years due to loss of TV revenue.

Trent Edison 06-01-2006 08:34 PM

fuck the canes

im going to print and frame this player list:

Jay McKee
Tony Lydman
Brian Campbell
Rory Fitzpatrick

best defensive block of NHL 05-06.

I love hockey but even I'm amazed at the final two. I come from the day when The Broad Street Bullies RULED! Islanders, Canadians, Boston...what happened to the teams that were the backbone of hard hitting hockey!

Thank the rule changes and the salary caps (and the Europeans). :2 cents:

YESSSSSSSSSS! The Broad Street Bullies! I was born and raised in Flyer's Country. Happy that Brind'Amour (former Flyer) made the game winning goal for Carolina last night. :thumbsup

And to all of you folks hoping for Edmonton to win the cup...keep hope alive my friends. This is Carolina's year. You heard it here first! :winkwink:

drama 06-02-2006 10:04 AM

Had anyone asked me 3 months ago what 4 teams would be vying for a shot at the cup I would not have chosen any of the ones that made it, except maybe the ducks.

Surprise or not, I am sure we are in for some great hockey in the upcoming final series.
