He's an idiot. (No offense to his fans, I'm not one of them.... I used to be before all of this drama around every day shit, people have babies all the time and wives-to-be that stop speaking after hooking up with a control freak.)
Be quiet during child birth. I'd like to see how many swear words would fly out of his mouth if he pissed a golf ball sized gall stone. (Not even a fair comparison to birth IMO) |
oh, and him taking it upon himself to shred Shields for using anti-depressants for post pardom depression. Once again, when did he give birth? Did I miss something? I don't take a stance, in this area, I strongly believe "to each ther own" and stay out of other people's shit, she didn't invite it, he just attacked her.

Either somebody's been feeding you misinformation or you've jumped to your own conclusions based on bits and pieces of information...
http://www.silentbirth.org/faqs.php#_01 What exactly is a silent birth? This is all about providing the best possible environment for the birthing mother and her new baby. Silent births are labor and delivery done in a calm and loving environment. This means everyone attending the birth should refrain from spoken words as much as possible. Chatty doctors and nurses, shouts to "PUSH, PUSH" and loud or laughing remarks to husbands are the types of noises that are meant to be avoided. The idea of silent birth is based on L. Ron Hubbard's research into the mind and spirit. He found that words spoken during moments of pain and unconsciousness can have adverse effects on an individual later in life. What has been said during traumatic experiences such as birth records in a part of the mind called the reactive mind. These recordings store and have the power to influence a person by dictating thoughts, emotions and psychosomatic ills not under his control. Anyone can read about this in the book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health. Mothers naturally want to give their baby the best possible start in life and thus keep the birth as quiet as possible |

Let me guess..... your wife gave birth and you just stood there and looked at her and gave no words of blessing? :1orglaugh No offense, but there are plenty of facts to piss away that URL and I will round them up and post them tomorrow. Ron L Hubbard is a brain washer and apparently it worked on you. How many times do I have to say that I have talked to a Scientologist of 15 years that was told to ONLY MOAN QUIETLY during birth and SHE was NOT allowed to scream. She also spoke of the same situation with her sister. Posting that link is paramount to posting cnn.com for a reliable source. |

Thank you for making my point for me. You heard from your MOTHER'S FRIEND about her SISTER'S experience. Your information is 3RD HAND, and therefore not reliable at all. I literally laughed out loud when I read your post. Some people.... geesh. Hey, I got some wives tales for ya! You can start passing them around as fact if you'd like. After all, they came from my brother's friend's 2nd cousin's aunt Tilly's gardener! If you want to know what someone believes, ask them. Directly. That website I linked to is the church's official stand on the issue. I'll take that over 3rd hand info anyday. But you won't, because it's not as dramatic as you'd like. |
Here ya go:
http://cbs4boston.com/health/local_story_097142959.html I particularly thought this part was interesting: But Jennifer insists she felt no pressure to behave in a certain way. "If I wanted to scream and yell, I could do whatever I wanted." |

You can claim all the third party sources you'd like. They mean nothing. You most likely have no clue what was really said and misinterpreted what you THINK you heard. |

Given how MI:3 fell through the industry's expectations, his next movie better kick ass at the box office or he'd be taking a long (pre Pulp Fiction) John Travoltaesque vacation from the headline.

I'm just a little curious here....
I'm sure we can all agree that giving birth to a child is an extremely painful event in a woman's life. I have had pancreatitis several times in my life and it has been compared to child birth as far as pain goes. My question is this... if there was nobody around you while giving child birth, would you feel the need to make loud screaming noises? If nobody was there to appreciate what you were going through, would you even bother to scream at the top of your lungs? I also believe that loud noises and vibrations can affect the child upon its passage into our world. I'm sure anyone that has studied this science will agree with me and to suggest a calmer more serene dilivery can't be such a bad thing. just my 2 cents. |
I went into my "I hate Tom Cruise" phase also...Mainly due to the shit with South Park.
But I just watched Born on the 4th of July (again) - in awe - dude is class, regardless of personal life. |
