Why not put troops on the border? Don't we have troops protecting other country's borders, why not worry about domestic issues first?

Because it would make too much sense to do so. In this case, Schwartzenegger went head to head with the administration and got what he wanted.

The only reason the administrations from present to past didn't give a shit about the borders is because it would have impeded the transportation of drugs, money, prostitutes. It's a cash cow and what is best for the people of the U.S. and Mexico isn't what the government is concerned with. Their only concern is the maintaining of the criminal activities of the ruling class.

Arnold is a man of strong convictions. He sees the problem and like us is wondering WTF is going on. The Republicans cannot afford to lose Arnold. Arnold would remain conservative but if push came to shove his integrity would cause him to bolt from the mainstream party and start his own.

Doesnt need to get permission from the Federal Government. The govenor has control to put the national guard somewhere if he deems it necessary. :2 cents:
