Takin somebody off of life support
 

Wow i never in my wildest dreams thougth i would have to make this descion. I am one who cleary thinks straight but this whole ordeal has my head a complete mess. When you go to bed tonight give you loved one's a extra hug and kiss...

Whats worse is she complety cohearint but her kidneys are failing which means the food they are feeding her is not digesting when is slowly turning her brain to mush do to lack of nutrients. They said they got one more option to try but if that fails all hope is gone.

my heart goes out to you.. i had a freind on life support many years ago... he was also in a coma, but it looked like he was just sleeping...

Thansk bud i dont even know why i made this thread. I been keeping this all bottled up for the last few weeks. Life is a bitch sometimes i guess...

What a sad situation you are in right now, but remember that it's better to let someone go then to keep them hanging on by a thread and not really living life. That's my thoughts on it, if my lifestyle has changed to just being stuck in a hospital bed and on ton's of med's to keep me free from pain then to me that's not living anymore.

That's horrible dude... in 2003 one of my best friends was in a horrible accident and we got to the hospital 20 minutes after he arrived... and he was already braindead but he was still alive.... and i was there with his mom when she had to make the decision...... i can't even beging to imagine what that does to someone, mentally... having to make that decision..

A sad situation TampaToker - is she aware of what is going on? I hope there is the possibility of a transplant working *if* it's possible in her situation and *if* she's lucky enough to get it.

Yeap she full aware but she is asperating which means all the food goes into the longs and causes naomona. Her heart, lungs and kidneys are weak so if the dont get her kidneys going her brain will turn to mush . They gonna stick her on kidney dialysis tommorw and we will know within the next 3 days if it will work or not. if not she will just become a vegtable since there is nothing more they can do.

Had to do the same for my good friend who was the victim of road rage and a tech9 a street above my house. RIP blake and Chris..

it's really hard to see people in deep pain... this thread breaks my heart... i just lost a loved one.. grandpa was so cool when I last saw him.. a few mos ago.. the circle of life... sometimes you know you are okay but your body just starts to fail you..

She is 83 and she is my grandmother. She raised me since i was 3 so this hitting hard...
