Your best bet is to find a friend who is really into golf.

Usually in the mornings people get lessons at the golf range, just take the next stall and bingo.

Practice practice practice.. I taught myself from the very start,, Then took some private lessons,, Now I'm about 4 handicap. Go to a range and Start with your wedge always when practicing, and work your way to the driver until all clubs feel comfortable. I used to take the game very seriously, competitions and such, now that I finally realize how hard it is to make it pro, I usely just end up and getting drunk and stoned while playing. MUCH more fun ;)

Not private lessons, but before I injured my shoulder I did and I sucked so bad I almost hit myself in the head, but it was fun to try.

I've taken lessons many times..it never helps.Golf was never designed to be enjoyed. It's the devils game. It's supposed to raise your blood pressure and then finally cause you to have a stroke.

Don't even start it!

I had an ex TRY to teach me. Her dad was a VP with SBC so he was big on that...we were supposed to go golfing but thank goodness we broke up before that..

Wouldnt mind picking it up sometime..something new to try/learn

I love golf, I am getting good at it

If you play 2 days a week and practice 2-3 days w/ one of those 2-3 days being with a swing coach you should be in the mid 80's within a year i'd say. I think golf gets fun once you get in the 80's...but the irony is, once you get into the 70's ...you dont have much fun in the 80's anymore :1orglaugh

If you can just get to the point of hitting the ball straight...and you can get REALLY good at chipping and putting....you can shoot in the 70's.

I started about 6 years ago, took few early lessons on and studies the mechanics of the game. Practice at least 2 days a week, play one round a week. Find a friend to go and play with. Finally, don?t get mad at bad shots or bad rounds and enjoy every minute of it.
