This is why I use CCBILL. C'mon, look at this bullshit!

...for paysite memberships. Think you can do it better than 3rd party processors? Check this BULLSHIT out:

http://www.sinempire.com/_cardservice.gif

Cardservice is probably the worst of all the companies with merchant accounts. This chargeback is for one customer and their recurring billing... See, horseshit! This is what you don't have to deal with when you use a 3rd party processor. This customer purchased a regular recurring membership. Their reason for chargeback over a year later? Suspected 'SIGNATURE' fraud. The fucker bought online, there's no god damned signature and Cardservice knows that.

See, you can get chargebacks up to 1.5 years after the fact. Another fuck job... there is nothing that can be done, I'll be debited. Another fuck job... There is a $15 fee for this letter.

Even if I *did* have a right to appeal it, I just got this today and the letter was dated the 20th - leaving me 6 days to respond by mail back to California from Detroit.

So, for all of you that think you're smarter then the average cat - go for it, try and process all your transactions with your own merchant account. Sure, some people can pull it off. However, most don't - and certainly not for less then the rate a 3rd party biller will. I scrubbed the living fuck out my charges and eventually my chargeback ratio got too high - as it will for many of you. Then you really lose big!

yes they are, they fucked a big player in the biz a few years back out of 50 grand one day... froze his shit.....

CSI is the pits man

Midnyte 05-24-2002 12:23 PM

I never even considered all that, I use CCBill solely because I'm to lazy to want to deal with all that myself.

And Brad, I'll email you really soon I promise, things have just been insane over here lately :helpme

Fletch XXX 05-24-2002 12:25 PM

Ouch.

Kimmykim 05-24-2002 12:27 PM

Brad - if you want us to try and help you with that -- email [email protected] and tell her I told you to -- if the charges are over a year old there may be some sort of alternative here. We do quite a bit with CSI, so if they can help you out, I'm sure they will.

And yes, I know it doesn't have anything to do with a CCBill transaction, I like Brad and I'd be happy to help him out if we can.

I'm getting a job as a para-military in Tijuanna. A buddy of mine made $7000 in one day as a temp!

Brad Mitchell 05-24-2002 12:38 PM

Thank you KimmyKim for the offer! How nice of you guys :)

I'll take the hit on this one, it's just easier that way. Besides, I'm not sure if Card Service is smart enough to send me a bill since they can't auto-debit that business account anymore. Ugh! It's always something :glugglug

Brad

Doctor Dre 05-24-2002 12:48 PM

That's some nice bullshit :D :ak47:

jules180 05-24-2002 12:48 PM

I thought most of the third party processors will hit you with chargeback fees as well. if so what is the advantage in using a third party processor

Brad Mitchell 05-24-2002 01:10 PM

That's a good question Jules. There are of course many advantages but I don't know if they have different chargeback timelines. Perhaps 3rd party processors have better agreements in place so they don't get chargebacks after X months. Guess we'd need to ask them!
