Atten cell phone & PDA people. Serious help requested.
I want to simplify my fiances business a lot.
I need something that can run some windows apps, act as a cell phone and or walkie talkie (both preferred). Easy to sync up with a PC and other of the same units. Now the one super requirement is that is must be as rugged as hell. They are out in the field all of the time doing landscaping. So nothing fragile or made for the yuppie office types. Suggestions? |
Nextel Motorola i930 - Walkie Talkie, Windows Smartphone Platform, All Nextel phones can takes drops, Synchs easily with the computer.

take a pic or print or whatever with the cell and send it, you need a dongle - small usb like stick costs 10 bucks - put it in your laptop and itll pair up and send all pics etc to the laptop works great |

All of these suggestions also work with ear pieces? Hell do they make those wireless as well? |
You could always get one of these and then get a hard case for it ..

i had a motorola mpx220
it has windows mobile 2003 1.3MP cam, bluetooth, infra red. and it works ok, but mine got stolen :\ |
i930 is still the only one in this thread that has the two way radio and is somewhat rugged as Nextel caters to the blue collar worker.
Also a "dongle" is not needed in mostly all new laptops. Mine is bluetooth equipped and it takes two seconds. |
