Do you take vitamins?
I have been takeing these one a day mens health formula multivitamins and I am almost out thinking about switching up trying some other kind?
|
instead i get health bars like _balance_ throughout the day.
gotta be careful with vitamins -- they are unregulated and may contain heavy metals. furthermore, hard vitamin pills often go undigested because they are packed hard as a rock. a study about six months ago with over 120k subjects showed an increase of cancer with vitamin suplement users. |

I stopped when my doctor reminded me that in the US there is NO monitoring of manufacturing of herbals and vitamins. As he showed me in some test reports what is on the label may not be in the capsule.

I take a ton of vitamins/supplements.
I dunno the dosages off the top of my head, but I take a multi, Vitamin D, 3 calicum/zinc/magnsium, co-q10, Super B, Rhodiola Rosea, Alpha lipoic acid and Valerian to sleep, if I want/need it. |

I hate every kind of pills.
I eat fruits and vegetables instead. I know that most of them comes from greenhouses, but I think they're healthy enough to replace the pills. |
I don't take additional vitamins. It's not needed...
|
Nothing wrong with some vitamin C.
|
synthetic vitamins - never.
only fresh vegetables and fruits. |

If there are interactions, I don't know about them. It's all doctor recommended, so I feel comfortable with the mix. And if I didn't feel like they were doing some good, I wouldn't be taking them. :) |
i take daily;
multivitamin vitamin c (twice) b complex (twice) calcium glucosamine anti oxidents aminos flax seed oil glutamine protein and no... it's not harmful. your body can handle it. water soluable vitamins get pissed out if they are taken in excess. fat soluable vitamins have to be ingested in absurd quantities for any sort of toxicity problems to occur. there is a lot of BS about vitamins not dissolving etc etc etc etc... 99% bullshit. i am not saying it doesn't happen. but just because Joe Bobs Vitamin company makes a shitty product and you were dumb enough to buy them from an ad in the back of a comic book... does not mean that they are typical of ALL vitamins. there are standards by which all vitamins are processed and criteria for how quickly they must be broken down and dissolved. if you are overly concerned about this and for whatever reason think that your typical mainstream multivatamin is going to be passed through your body and not be broken down by the VERY strong acids and enzymes in your stomach and intestinal tract, then look for those which are approved by and meet the standards of the United States Pharmacopoeia and other similar organizations. uninformed hippies are annoying. |
