I need help with batch resizing...
Hey guys i need some help and what other best place to turn to than the good old gfy with some of the smartest people on the net. My problem i have a lot of images and i need to resize them. What is the best way to accomplish this? Any help would be highly appreciated. Im looking for the most pain/hassle free way to do this.
Thx :helpme |
Assuming they are all the same size and you need them all resized to the same size:
Open Photoshop. Create an action - Record - Image > Image Size - File > Save For Web - Stop Recording Batch Run Action - Open all the images - File > Automate > Batch - Select the action you just created, and apply it to all open images That should do it. You also might want to add a close command to the action so you don't end up with having to close all the images once you are done. |
thank you bangman... i will give it a try right now :winkwink:

If you have Adobe Bridge you can use the Image Processor command to resize all your files first into a new folder, then batch those Save For Web..... |

we use compupic pro. lossless image compression. then smartsaver pro will crush them all the way down to about 100k. |

enter the maximum dimension you want in both boxes. Say your images are 3000x2000 and you want 600x800 but some are verticle and some are horizontal. No problem... in the fit image command put 800 in the width and height box and PS will make the longest side 800 pixels. |
You can also do it ghetto-style with irfanview. Simple yet effective. Watch how to do it.
