This may be a stupid question, but can some one tell me the difference between free and forced hits?

I don't use TM3 so I'm not sure, but I would think free hits don't get counted as hits sent whereas the forced ones are. So it's free traffic to the trade partner.

I don't use TM3, so this is just a guess:

free hits: script returns hits to the trades based on productivity or hits in
forced hits: script sends "X Amount of Hits Hourly" regardless of the quality of traffic
