Who will win tonight between Detroit and Miami?
I'd say Detroit wins this one, and then goes out in a blaze of glory in Miami on Friday, ending one of the most monumental collapses in the history of the NBA.. Never thought it would come down to this, but they did it to themselves.. And they WERE the better team.

It hurts me to say this but I think Miami will win the series. Detroit just doesn't seem interested in playing ball.
|
Miami all they way!
|
Miami must win.....hell they had enough foresight to hire Mary34D before she was the shit on this here forum.....

The pistons are nothing but a bunch of whiney little bitches!!! Miami will continue to dominate. This better team stuff is a bunch of crap, we would have won last year also if it wasn't for the injuries, this time we're setting it straight. Go Heat!
|
Miami is a different team compared to the loss they have suffered last year,
Shaq and Wade were injured that time thus they have failed to drill a shot with the Spurs :smokin |

Typical fans.. No logic involved. "If the Heat weren't injured blah blah blah". Everybody has established that as bullshit, because we have all seen what the Pistons did to the Lakers, who were a lot better than these heat, in the 2004 Finals. My point is if the Pistons play the way they are supposed to, they are unbeatable, and this has been proven. Somewhere around game 3 against Cleveland, they lost it all, and yes that is what you call a monumental collapse. Going from the best or second best team in the past 3 years with one of the greatest defenses(if not the greatest ever), into a team that can't play basketball and that doesn't like playing basketball in 1 playoff series. That is a monumental collapse. They strayed away from their defense and from playing "the right way", how Larry Brown taught them. Miami HAS been the better team in this series but Detroit is the better team in terms of potential and facts. If any team can come back from 3-1 it is Detroit, although it's damn near impossible with the way they're playing. Not to mention the team that was supposed to epitomize perfect basketball and team basketball over the individual concept, has finally shown that it's all about the individual concept for them, which is a crying shame.. I looked up to these guys so it's hard to believe that this is all unraveling so quickly. Either way, Dallas or Phoenix will win the title, most likely Dallas.

more excuses from a pistons fan how typical. The bottom line is the pistons are NOT the better team the heat is, if they were better they would be winning not losing.
|
who cares. just get the season over with! the NBA has a piss poor product right now. They're lucky D.Wade is still in the playoffs. He's probably the most exciting player in the game. Or at least he's up on par with Lebron

I've got my fingers crossed for Miami!
Rasheed can kiss some ass |

still, my all out support to Miami :2 cents: :smokin |
Interestingly enough the new NBA is all about matchups. For instance, if Detroit makes the finals they will most likely win because they match up very well with these teams. If the Heat make the finals, they will match up somewhat well with the Suns, especially since they have no answer for shaq, but the Suns would run them out of the building. They don't have the athleticism to compete with Phoenix. Only San Antonio, Dallas, and Detroit do. If the Heat play the Mavs, they won't match up well at all with the Mavs. The Mavs are a younger, more athletic version of the Spurs, and they have too many weapons for the Heat to deal with. I'd take Mavs over Heat in 5-6 games and possibly the Suns over the Heat in 7, or the other way around.

I'm putting down all or nothing on Miami

the heat of course...

Wait wait they got lucky the past 2 years, and I'm making a fool out of myself? WOW...
Denial. A moron's #1 defense mechanism |

Again, says the one who considers the Pistons 2 year run as the most dominant team luck, and the Heat beating them this year ISNT luck.. I'm sorry, denial outweighs anything you just said.. But keep embarassing yourself, this forum needs a clown.

My bet is Detroit by 10

I like Detroit tonight. They have to win and I think they will.
As for the series .. I still like Detroit. They didn't win all those games in the regular season for no reason. Phoenix was down 3-1 and came back. It can happen. |

Well it's half time and no surprise. The Pistons are up by four but there's absolutely no sign of them getting back to their old game. Their offense sucks, their defense is nonexistent, and only Billups and Prince have shown signs of life. Not to mention they can barely contend with a team with Shaq in foul trouble. I don't doubt the Heat can rest Shaq the entire game and still win.. It looks like the end.

Close game so far in the 3rd

GO DETROIT BABY!

Pulls it off..good game

Nothing really positive to show in that game up until 4 minutes left, when the Pistons FINALLY started playing like they did in Game 7 against Cleveland, and effectively shut down Wade and the rest of the team. This is the real Piston team and this is the team that needs to show up Friday, or it's over. But all of the pressure is now on Miami.
