Pfff, hard decissions: New house, more space in quiet city, or smaller in a big city

Tough decission :disgust Still not sure what todo. Bigger house, with some nice garden/area. Or smaller house, with small garden in a busy place, with more action/parties etc...

hzoltan 05-31-2006 08:45 AM

it depends on how old are you, what would you like to do more often...
party or nice garden :)
I prefer downtown,but I'm young.

Bhelliom 05-31-2006 08:54 AM

Big house just outside a big city. best of both worlds

Reak AGV 05-31-2006 08:55 AM

Come move over to Thailand, more parties, sea, whores and smiles all around you :)

I have some family living in SA. Damn they have a HUGE HUGE house with even more land...

fuzebox 05-31-2006 09:25 AM

Nothing like living right downtown in a big city :thumbsup

Does depend how old you are and if you have a family or not...

pornguy 05-31-2006 09:32 AM

Take into account how much will you drive into the city, and how is the connection in that area. What are the neighbors like etc.

Go big, go out..

Even when your young.. You can enjoy it later :)

woj 05-31-2006 09:57 AM

if your are younger I would go for small place near the big city, if you are older have family / etc and want to settle down, get a quiet big place away from the city...

Sosa 05-31-2006 09:59 AM

big house just outside the city. You can always travel into the city but still have that nice big house / yard.

Best thing you can do:)

SgtStrider 05-31-2006 10:02 AM

well i believe it would have to be the way you grew up. if yougrew up in the city, 99% of the time your a city folk and want to stay in the city. so i guess that means small house for you. or unless you like a bigger house where its quiet, you might miss the noise and business of the world. but im sure you would be miles from a walmart. :1orglaugh up to you bro :thumbsup

polish_aristocrat 05-31-2006 10:05 AM

buy both, live in the smaller in the city and rent the bigger one out and after you settle down and start a family, you will move to the bigger one outside the city

not sure if its doable though and ppl actually rent houses in NL

justsexxx 05-31-2006 10:16 AM

Many people RENT here. However, A nice house is close to 300.000 euro here. And I don't have money to buy two houses of 300.000 :)

I agree with the wojbot.

Nothing beats living in the middle of it all when you are single. If you have a wife and or kids things change... although I think I would stay the same until the kid gets to be school age.

OG LennyT 06-01-2006 10:12 PM

Land and big house outside the city.... someday I will be there

Yeah Pattaya is great, like it way better then Bangkok. Less traffic, people, more relaxing city to life at. You should have a great time living in Bangkok some nice places to go out too and a few interesting webmasters around there I'm sure you would like to meet aswell :)

I agree with this too. I can't wait to get the FUCK out of this "city" i'm living in and into a real one.

Big Cities are like great big particle accelerators, the best and brightest gravitate towards them. And they have the best of the best of everything- Girls, food, entertainment, etc.

The only downside for me, is that I have some family here.. Most of my friends(finishing UNI etc) are all out of here the moment they have the chance.

Having said that, when its time to settle down, I want a place on the ocean just outside the city- private jetty, big backyard, clean air etc.

Sounds good :) I have been a few times before, but only for very short trips.. Something about the quality of life just appeals to me about the place. Seems like more webmasters are moving out there each year!

I never would have put it that way but you are absolutely correct. That's why I can't get enough. But when you get married most of that doesn't matter as much... and can get you in trouble! :1orglaugh
