They aren't gonna loose business on long term. It's a temporary thing. And besides, there are a lot of non smokers (like my father) who never go out in public places because they can't handle the cigarette smoke.

Everywhere they passed the law, customers went down in number for a little while and picked back up quickly.

Honestly, I'm sick of smoking your 2nd and smoke, and I'm glad you'll have to freeze your ass just so you can die quicker during the winter.

Alot of smaller places might loose business but the mainstream ones will grow

Happened last year in my city. The smaller mah and pa type bars (whole int he wall) were forced to shut down and the bigger more mainstream bars (ie ones with food) grew

The bar scene vary from one city to another really... you can't really judge on what happened in your city ;) Allthought, they ran some stats in Ontario and the effect definitly started to wear out after 3 months.

i think the old system of "NON-SMOKING" resteraunts worked just fine

next thing you know...you won't be able to drink in a resteraunt...because you're setting a bad example for the children
