Its making waves here but I dont see much on the US sites.

Long story short - Roadside bomb kills 2 US marines - Marines go to nearby houses and murder 24 Iraqies in cold blood.

Marines tried to cover it up but White House has addmitted they lied about it.

Not good at all.

It's been in the US news recently. A few minutes ago in fact on CNN again.
Evidently it was 6 months ago, and we're just learning about it. Pretty sad situation.

From what I can gather it is only coming out now because it was 'leaked'.

There is more to the story, just wait...the media is portraying one side but...

I am happy that I can now take off the tinfoil hat that people here ( the same bush supporters ) said I should wear.

I posted about this past november, only to answers such as :

- they were insurgents<
- they shoul't have been there
- and the famous : Saddam is a bad man...

OK - I see where you are coming from - but it included 2 X 4 year olds and a 2 year old baby. There is NO reason good enough.

If this suprises anyone , then i am suprised.. You stick a bunch of young guys on patrols in areas where everyone hates them , and they are getting picked off 1 by 1 by snipers and roadside bombs, watching their friends get limbs blown off, and you over-react. You have to feel some sympathy for the soldiers too. perhaps they felt like they were at the end of their rope , and hoped by murdering some innocent civilians , the locals would be scared into not cooperating with the insurgents thus "SAVING' lives

I don't have sympathy for any murderer, regardless of the situation. Maybe they should not have signed up for the Military if they can't handle the harsh realities of war. No one has the right to start killing innocent people because things aren't going their way. Anyone involved should be put to death, just like any murderer.
