India and Pakistan are on the brink of nuclear war. They're closer than the US and USSR were during the Cuban Missile Crisis, as their troops are actually shooting at each other. Within the next few weeks, tens of millions of people might be killed in Asia because of some silly religious conflicts.

Meanwhile, the commander in chief of the world's largest superpower is spending all of his foreign policy resources diffusing a minor conflict in Palestine and antagonizing 2-bit dictators in Iraq, Cuba, and North Korea.

If Bush thinks he's getting flack for failing to prevent the WTC bombing, wait until people start asking him why he completely ignored every single newspaper in the world telling us that a nuclear war is about to start.

I doubt he is ignoring nuclear war

Not too mention all the military personel we now have in Pakistan that will die if nukes start flying.

They have been fighting for years without ever setting off a nuke. Whats makes now any different. I remember people shitting their pants about this thing several times in the last year.

India and Pakistan are always allegedly close to nuclear war.

And to be quite honest, I dont care even if they did.

It would be interesting history. The first large atomic weapons used against an enemy since we dropped them on the Japanese.

It would certainly make for a tense situation.

This is what Bush wants anyway -- arms is the biggest export from the USA -- and I'm sure his daddy's defense company will make bank on this war... Don't the USA own Pakistan anyway...?

In this situation, no. If someones attack 1st, the other one might not have a second strike capability (or the retaliation will be limited) Unlike Russia and US, they knew they had 30-45 mins to retaliate. That's what's so scary about this situation, is that they don't know if the other one will do it. If you want to win, you have to do it first.

Both Canada & America have these problems but our governments continue to pour billions of dollars of aid to other countries while the problems at home remain.

Would you rather see Bush spend hundreds of millions trying to sort out India/Pakistan or have him use the money on American hospitals or schools?

I rent one of my houses. The rent has been raised only $75 dollars in the last 5 years. Once after 2 years a raise of $ 25 and a raise of $ 50 bucks a month ago. I am currenting renting it for several 100 less than what I can get and what does the renter do. RUIN the place ...
